Dear Family or Friend

COVID-19 update July 2021

This is our July edition and eighteenth update for relatives of everyone here at Baily House and Woodleigh Christian Care Home to keep you up to date on recent developments regarding the Corona virus pandemic.

We aim to be a 100% vaccinated home so residents, staff and visitors can keep the whole family safe.

This month there are few changes to the general visiting guidance from the government and our arrangement are set out in the attached document.  The latest COVID information is also available on our web site under the “COVID” tab or link from the home page.

  • The main changes are that residents who make visits out of the home may not need to self-isolate in their rooms for 14 days. If applicable we will advise.
  • Recently there has been a concerning increase in the number of COVID cases in the country. We need to remain vigilant in applying good practice when visiting: washing hands, wearing face coverings, wearing PPE, maintaining space, if shielding not to visit and all being vaccinated being the key guidance.
  • Looking forward to the 19th July we do not know the changes the government may make but we are keen to maintain the good infection control practice that is now in place. We do not expect nor want the current guidance to be reduced or removed until we can be sure our family members can be kept safe.  If there are any changes we will write and let you know.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank each one of you, for your continued support and well wishes throughout these most difficult of times.

If you have any concerns or queries please do not hesitate to contact the home, or the Home Manager.

We have sent this letter to the person we have as the main contact.  Please feel free to pass this on to other members of your family. This information is also on our website.

Yours sincerely
