- Woodleigh has been specially chosen to take part in a national trial to improve access to GPs and improve the care they provide. This involves a local GP undertaking SKYPE consultations with residents – assisted by staff and support by our IT systems manager. Initially this will only involve a few residents that have agreed to take part, obviously if they need to GP to visit them then that would happen as normal.
- Thank you to everyone who supported our coffee afternoon on the 18th April you raised nearly £200 for our charity “Friends of Woodleigh” which will go toward trips, entertainers and other special events for residents.
- Helen, our chaplain led services on Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Thank you to everyone who helped arrange these and attended.
- We would like to take this opportunity to thank our long standing friends of Woodleigh, David and Sheila Addison, for their monthly contributions to leading Holy Communion every month, in addition to everything else they have done for us here for the last 27 years. They have decided to take a step back from leading the communion, but will still remain an integral part of the wider Woodleigh family, especially in volunteering their time for the “Woodleigh Warblers” with Sally, Charlotte and the rest of our award winning Choir.
- We are delighted to welcome Tanith Alvey as our kitchen manager who is now an integral member of the management team
- Angela is continuing her regular Friday drop in sessions for residents and relatives.
