After spending the last few months collecting donations for Babworth Animal Rescue Kennels, we took the big box full of donations for them. They were so grateful for all of the items we had been able to collect and donate to them.
We planned a visit with one of our local schools – Sutton Road Primary and Nursery to watch a school nativity play: performed for us by their Year 1 students and then served afternoon tea by their Year 4 students. We had a lovely afternoon and were so thrilled to meet the children.
On Saturday 7th December we held our Christmas Fayre. There was an incredible turnout and were greeted by so many familiar faces and some not so familiar. We were amazed at the support we had received from our local community. We had a visit from The Grinch and Santa. Everyone had such an incredible day and we raised a fantastic £1067.45 to wards our resident fund. Watch out for more posts and we will show you how we have been spending it on our residents.
We held the annual Elf-Day on 6th December and every single staff member dressed up for the day and the residents loved it!
We spent the this week starting on the 25th November decorating our home. This year is the most Christmassy it has ever looked. Everyone has loved being a part of it. We have had comments from visitors, residents and healthcare professionals telling us just how lovely our home looks this Christmas.
