Personal Care

Dental, chiropody and optician services are available. 
A hairdresser visits the home regularly.
A personal laundry service is provided in the home every day of the week. 

Activities are an essential element to providing whole person care:

A full programme of events is planned thoughout the year.  Including a range of visiting professional entertainers.   We have pantomimes, old time musical evenings, even movie nights with popcorn and ice cream!!

To bring the outside world into Woodleigh the "Friends of Woodleigh" help to arrange coffee mornings and fayres. 
The Strawberry fayre, held in June each year is particularly popular with fresh strawberrys and cream and scone teas being served supported by a range of raffles, tombolas and games on the lawn.  An event for all the family.

Craftwork, outings, entertainments and quiet time activities are all available.  We have a full time activities coordinator who arranges a wide range of different and varied sessions each week.

A weekly act of Christian worship, led by visiting local ministers or lay readers is a highlight of the week. They often bring their own backing choir. Once a month we have a communion service to which all residents, staff, relatives and friends are invited.

Visitors

We are first and formost the home of all our residents and we hope, and ask, that they treat Woodleigh as their home.    Therefore visitors are always welcome and encouraged to be fully involved at Woodleigh. 

Teas, lunches and celebrations for friends and family are regular occurrences.  We have special Bistro evenings when you can dine with friends and family.

Friends of Woodleigh

This is an active group of supporters who help with our larger events: Summer and Christmas fayres etc.  New members are always most welcome.
